Tuesdays at Amnesia get supercharged by Together

Together's summer season at Amnesia heats up with more exciting supercharged events.

It's been a month since the opening of Together at Amnesia and I had heard rumours that the event had some surprises for later on in the season. Wednesday we finally got the news we had been waiting for. On 11 July, Chase & Status will be going back to back with Andy C.

This DJ set pairing is huge and the first time it has ever happened in drum and bass history. Together have now established themselves as the best D&B night on the island. Next week's event has been appropriately named Together | Supercharged for good reason.

Joining Chase & Status and Andy C in the main room will be legendary D&B act Pendulum. I was lucky enough to catch them play previously at Together and I will say that DJ Paul ‘El Hornet' Harding played a sublime set when I saw him. Pendulum recently re-formed as a band in 2017 and will start touring again this summer.

Also in the main room you have UK chart stars Rudimental. Anthems like Feel the Love and Waiting all Night have put the band into global stardom. These songs lift you up like few others and are standard at Together.

Finally warming up the main room that evening you have UK bass craftsman Woz. His unique pounding productions will definitely get things kicked off for the evening.

If you are more into house than D&B then the Terrace is definitely the place to be this summer. On 11 July Duke Dumont continues his residency playing only the best hot house jams from the Blasé Boys Club owners record collection. Gorgon City have recently collaborated with Duke Dumont on the song, Real Life featuring NAATIONS. This one is set to be a huge summer hit!

Joining Duke Dumont on the Terrace will be UK bass house star Hannah Wants. Another artist from the Together opening, she builds diverse sets these days, a balanced blend of classic vocal samples and heavy tech bangers.

Disciples are another act that have been making moves in the UK charts at the moment with their new release for 2017. On My Mind is a brilliant club house track mixed with R&B style vocals, definitely one created for the dance floor. Along with Camelphat they will be warming up the Terrace for what is set to be a very special night.

If you can't make 11 July, rest assured. The following week is set to be as exciting as the previous with a huge line-up. The special part about 18 July is that the event has not one but two special guests. First up in the main room brings old school drum and bass legends DJ Hype & DJ Hazard. From pirate radio foundations to record label owners, they will bring a set that proised to bring a massive mix of jungle and D&B that any fan can skank to.

This night welcomes also another great UK bass act to Together for the first time. DJ and producer duo Mak & Pasteman have crafted a sound that sits between house and techno, delving deeper in analog synthesis and texture to create a raw sound for which they have become famous.

Also on the line-up is dance music artisan Sub Focus who is known for his eclectic electronic style, spanning across breakbeat, dubstep and D&B. Finally completing the line up are main room residents Chase & Status and yet another appearance from Rudimental.

If that were not enough great music, you can always head over to the Terrace to listen to the very special guest on the 18 July event. House legend MK will be there for a handful of Togethers summer season, but considering the number of artists on this particular date, this would be a perfect time to catch the master remixer play a set.

During the night you will also be able to see the talented mixing skills of bass house DJ and producer Chris Lorenzo. His remixes and collaborations with artists like Hannah Wants and Katy B have put this Birmingham artist on the map in recent years and his set is guaranteed to keep your feet moving.

Besides Duke Dumont, completing the Terrace line-up, Amnesia resident Caal will be holding down the early hours warm up for the summer in Together. Finally a back to back set from British DJs Bowler and T.Bunts is sure to add an uncompromising sound of rugged house and techno to the aural menu.

The supercharged 18 July date is full of great DJs coming together under the roof of Amnesia, making it pretty much an unmissable event for anyone into or curious about this style of music. The summer season has just begun for the bass filled night of fun.
