Surf Lounge Ibiza has flung its doors wide open for its third season with the expectation of another busy summer. Its star turn is its artificial wave machine, the Flowrider that gets you into surfing. The venue will be the host of this year's European Flowboarding Championships, taking place on 24-25 June with free admission.
Surf Lounge Ibiza held the 2015 Championships, which was the first time the event, had come to Spain, with the intention of making it the regular venue for the European finals. This year will see athletes come in from all over Europe who will be judged on style, proficiency and technical difficulty. The event will see the winner make it to the World Championships later in the year where they will represent their country in a bid to be given the accolade of world's number one Flowrider Champion.
Spectators are welcomed to come along and sit back with a drink to watch the exciting event and everyone from groups of friends to families is welcome. The venue is in San Antonio Bay with its big skies and stunning views
Opening each day at 10am, Surf Lounge Ibiza boasts the only Flowrider machine on the island. For just €30 you can get an introduction to surfing with one full hour of surfing with waves with equipment included. The venue is part trendy beach club with live singers, a pool and a volleyball court. There's also a great restaurant serving award-winning burgers, some of the best pizzas around and drinks and cocktails of all kinds. The sports shop has the latest surf gear and sportswear, so you can browse and stock up.
Surf Lounge is for all types who are attracted to surfing to those that have some years under their belts. There are multi-lingual and highly experienced instructors to guide you through all the moves and give you support and encouragement when you need it.
