Flights to Ibiza - more good news

Ryanair invests in new base at Ibiza Airport.

Ryanair has just announced a big investment of over €90 million to establish a new base at Ibiza Airport. Base 76 will be the thirteenth of such bases across Spain. The base, which opens in March 2016 marks a significant move for the company's relationship with Ibiza and brings it in line with near neighbour Mallorca, which has been a key Ryainair hub for some time.

The new scheme is expected to support 1400 on-site jobs and it is hoped will deliver 350,000 new customers each year. The base will see the low fares airline company have one aircraft based at the new site. It will also see new links to Turin and the introduction of two new weekly flights to Venice and Treviso.

The low cost carrier also plans add extra flights to ten European destinations including Barcelona, Bologna, Eindhoven, London, Madrid, Malaga, Manchester, Milan, Rome and Valencia.

A spokesperson for Ryanair Jose Espartero said “As Spain's No.1 airline we are pleased to add another base airport to our network, which will allow us to offer improved schedules on domestic services, making Ryanair the ideal choice for both business and leisure customers.”
