Real Ibiza Restaurants

Like many other places in the world, the most famous restaurants in Ibiza

Like many other places in the world, the most famous restaurants in Ibiza are not the ones that local people flock to. You'd get the impression from the hip young lifestyle magazines which abound that the criteria for a good eatery are the number of CDs that it has released and the amount of cushions scattered around its Moroccan/Thai/Bali style interior.

Local folks are a tad more down to earth, relying more on the gastronomic/value quality ratio than decor. Because of that about 5,000 people are expected to munch their way through about 20,000 delicious Ibicenco specialities in this weekend's Fifth Ibiza Gastronomic Show at the Recinto Ferial.
Some of the restaurants and 'cuisine teams' represented are Can Salvado in Pou des Lleó, Mesón de Paco, Rincón de Pepe in Santa Eulalia, Pio Lindo, Es Pins in Sant Llorenç, Ñam Ñam, Sol y Sombra, es Ventall, el Caminito, Dúo and Samovar.
A few of the dishes they'll be rustling up include;
Skate in saffron with beans
Country salad
Tongue casserole and octopus fry up
Fried cuttlefish and black rice
Crusty ibérico ham with a honey and almond vinaigrette
Salmon with parsley foam

If that's not a mouth-wateringly good reason to get down to Ibiza town then we don't know what is! and if you can't make it this weekend, just whet your appetite on our great selection of Ibiza Restaurants.
