San Juan council has just increased the cost of removing rubbish from 'all inclusive' hotels by 40%. Following their rule 'he who contaminates pays' the council have slapped this extra charge on these hotels because they generate so much more junk than normal hotels. The 'all inclusive' concept was originally devised for tourists visiting third world countries, which though beautifully idyllic, were generally overrun with gun toting gangsters, malaria, and a plethora of water borne diseases, making tourists virtual prisoners in their hotel compound. A glimpse through Spotlight's extensive range of bars, restaurants, and things to do will confirm that Ibiza is definitely not the place to be confined to an all inclusive hotel. Our advice is get out and enjoy the island, there's so much to do!
