Beginning in San Antonio this route takes in some fabulous beaches, breathtaking countryside, historic monuments and great views!
Stage 1: San Antonio > Port d'es Torrent
Start out from the ‘egg' roundabout in the centre of San Antonio and set off in the direction of Port d'es Torrent. On your way as you skirt the wide sweep of the bay you get some great views of the small beaches dotted along the Bay of San Antonio and the harbour of San Antonio in the distance.
Stage 2: Port d'es Torrent > San Agustín
From Port d'es Torrent the tour turns left and starts the climb to the white-washed hamlet of San Agustín. The landscape changes dramatically to fields of red earth populated by olive and carob trees and if you look back, in the distance you can see the well known precipice of Cap Nono.
Once the village square is reached you can relax in the shade of San Agustín's ancient church and look out over the valley below.
Stage 3: San Agustín > Cala Tarida
Leaving the village behind the tour sets out for ‘Sa Serra d'en Sendic' followed by an ascent to the highest point on the route ‘Puig den frare' (215m high). From there you'll start the descent to the beach of Cala Tarida.
Stage 4: Cala Tarida > Torre d'en Rovira
From Cala Tarida the route runs parallel to the coast and passing through the coves of Cala Corral, Cala Llentia, Cala Codolar and Cala Figuera Borda before arriving at Cala Conta where a swim in the crystal clear turquoise waters is a must!
The route then meanders along the coastline taking in views of the island of Conejera until the defence tower of Torre d'en Rovira is reached. Used to spot pirate ships this is just one of many such towers dotted around the coastline of Ibiza.
Stage 5: Cala Bassa > San Antonio
Continue to hug the coastline until Cala Bassa beach is reached. Here's a great opportunity to enjoy a refreshing ice cream or drink on the shady terrace of one of the bars set amongst pine trees whilst overlooking this stunning beach and the views beyond.
Once rested its back on the bike to continue along the coast until Port d'es Torrent is reached where you start to retrace your steps back to San Antonio.
