This is the only tourist resort on the island, although compared to a others elsewhere it is a rather intimate place where you'll see the same people and easily get to know the locals.
Es Pujols by day
Arriving in Es Pujols by day, there is a certain elegance and calm in this resort, which might be surprising given that there is just one on Formentera. Tree-lined avenues, a slower pace of life and a gorgeous clean white sandy beach give it the air of the small village it once was, where it's easy to get to know the locals.
Like the rest of the island, Es Pujols feels very relaxed: the spirit of Formentera pervades even though there are more things to do with a whole host of amenities like shops and fashion boutiques; hippy market stalls selling clothes, jewellery and souvenirs on the main paved street; cafes to watch the world go by and of course many hotels and apartments for all budgets.
Restaurants can be found all around with some really good gourmet eating places, many of them on the seafront overlooking the beach and in the streets behind it. Try ChezzGerdi at the end of the wooden beach promenade and have a lovely Mediterranean meal or a cocktail at this truly magical spot.
The clear waters of Es Pujols are perfect for all sort of water sports. Wet4Fun offers a wide choice of courses, equipment to rent and tours including kayak, Stand Up Paddle boards and sailing.
Car rental places abound and there is ample parking on the left hand side of the entrance road of the resort.
Es Pujols by night
As the majority of the island's nightspots are found in Es Pujols, expect a buzzing nightlife that starts in the evening and goes on until the hours of early morning.
Much of the action is concentrated behind the beachfront in the little warren of narrow streets, where there are all kinds of bars and restaurants. In these establishments you will see holidaymakers chatting animatedly enjoying a night time energy that's mixed with the chilled laid-back vibe of the island.
