Tue 31 Dec, 2024, from 16:00
Where: Dalt Vila - the fortified old town, Ibiza Town (Eivissa)
One of Ibiza's New Year's Eve traditions is the 2,300 metre race to the cathedral at the summit of Dalt Vila, the fortified old town of Ibiza. Held every year on the 31 December, this race is a great and exhilarating way to say goodbye to the year.
The start line is in the port of Ibiza, at the corsair statue near the Mar y Sal Café. The race covers a distance of 2,330 m and registrations are for free. There are special categories for costumed groups.
The race starts at 16:30.
Before departure you can leave your backpacks in a van with your race number to pick it up at the end of the race at Ibiza Town Hall.
All participants will wear the corresponding dorsal and chip, which are personal and non-transferable. The numbers and chips have to be collected on 30 December.
At the end of the delivery of trophies, a raffle will be held, among the numbers delivered on arrival, of some Christmas lots donated by different commercials and the Ibiza City Council. Prizes will be delivered in person to the athlete to whom the winning number corresponds and who must be present at the time of raffle.
