The San Antonio Town Hall is organising the first-ever sports event, ‘Sant Antoni Walks against Cancer’, on Sunday, 20 October at 10:00 on the Passeig de ses Fonts.
The event is being held in collaboration with seven different associations that address this illness on the island of Ibiza, with the aim of raising funds for all of them.
The event consists of a 3km walk and a 5km race through the centre of San Antonio. Participants will be divided into eight different categories: Under-18, Under-20, Senior, Under-23, Masters 35, Masters 40, Masters 45, Masters 50, and Masters 55+. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in each category.
Manu Tenorio, a well-known singer and songwriter, will take part in the event, offering a special performance in support of the fight against cancer.
Registration fees are €10 for those over 16 years and €5 for those under 16, with all proceeds going to the collaborating associations.
