New luxury hotel to hit Ibiza

Contemporary, modern and Mediterranean.

Work has started to replace the current Victoria Hotel in Talamanca with a brand new upmarket hotel. It is being launched by island entrepreneur Marc Rahola Matutes head of the OD Hotels Group, making this the third luxury hotel in its portfolio. Reservations are be taken now for summer 2016 and you can book here.

The Group will be investing €12 million in the new venture, €8 million of which is being dedicated to construction with the remainder dedicated to the décor, furniture and fit out of the hotel. The new OD Talamanca Hotel located near to the Cap Martinet junction is slated to open in June 2016.

The new hotel will join the OD Ocean Drive hotel and the OD Can Jaume agroturismo and will have 119 rooms. Also available will be suites including apartments of over 100 square metres with outside terraces of 120 square metres featuring private pools. The hotel is set in the Bay of Talamanca, known for its beauty and peacefulness and easy access to Ibiza Town.

After securing the necessary licences from the Ibiza Town council, work began a week ago and will see the construction of a new modern, elegant building. The location of the hotel gives it great views of the beach, Dalt Vila and vistas of the beautiful sunsets to be seen in this location. The building designed by Catalan architect Victor Rahola will result in a contemporary building with Mediterranean influences, with state-of-the-art technology and a raft of sustainable features.

The interior, overseen by designer Mayte Matutes will feature furnishing and textiles specially made for the hotel, resulting in a refined, fluid thematic design for the new building. The hotel will offer a private driver for guests to be used at their discretion. There will also be a selection of private cars and the owners have also set up partnerships with luxury car rental dealers.

The hotel is also near to the glamorous Marina Botafoch, which can be reached via the beachside boardwalk and is only 10km from the airport.

The stage is set for a grand reopening of what promises to be a spectacular new hotel. We can't wait.
