It is old news now, but Croatia really is where it's at in terms of cool, boutique sized festivals that focus on offering an original product based around quality music. There are hundreds of music festivals each year around the world, but the destination we hear about most is Croatia... and our favourite festival there? Dimensions.
We sent one of our contributors to the festival in 2013 and by all counts she had a great time, labelling it as 'four days of musical mastery in an abandoned fort by the sea...' - a fairly accurate description of what you could expect if you fancied a trip there this year!
The 2013 edition of the festival saw sets from Move D, Pangea, Blawan and Panthu du Prince. Check out our own review of the 2013 festival here.
Looking towards this year's festival though, many of the names we mentioned above are returning showing the draw of such a quality festival for both punter and DJ alike.
Highlights you should focus on include headliners Caribou State and Darkside who both perform live, Moodymann, another live show from Metro Area, queen of cool Nina Kraviz, Motor City Drum Ensemble and Pearson Sound. Mind you, at last count they had announced 92 artists... with yet more to come. You'll be spoilt for choice here.
The festival takes place from 27th - 31st August in the abandoned Fort Pubta Christo. Tickets are on sale now £140 (172€) with various options including the boat parties. Full information over at their website - dimensionsfestival.com
Awesome video taking you through the 2014 lineup with some epc footage from previous editions of the festival.
