Last night was something different for Sankeys, dirtybird and Fatboy Slim – the three power houses of the dance music world never before having combined forces, on Ibicenco soil or anywhere. The result was a heavy house set from the Hawaiian shirted legend who displayed boundless energy behind the decks. The LAB was rammed, though nobody had known quite what to expect from seeing a DJ so associated with large scale festival stages do his thing in the underground clubbing den that is Sankeys. The LAB was darker than usual, further adding to the unusually banging vibes from the famous producer. Through plenty of intense builds ups and booming bass drops, Fatboy showed another side of himself to Ibiza – and if anywhere could bring it out of him, it was going to be Sankeys.
