Ibiza Rocks Announce Final Headliners

Chic, Beady Eye, Professor Green, The Courteeners and Alunageorge complete the lineup for this years season-long live music festival.

Third in a series of announcements and this is probably the biggest of the lot of them. Ibiza Rocks have confirmed the last of their headliners, and with the cancellation of the Ibiza 123 festival, it seems they have more than taken up the slack in the whole live music game this year. Exciting stuff!

Joining the likes of Jake Bugg, The Vaccines, Ellie Ghoulding and Franz Ferdinand will be Biffy Clyro (24th July), Liam Gallagher's post-Oasis band Beady Eye for Ibiza Rocks 8th Birthday (17th July), The Courteeners, Alunageorge (7th August), Professor Green (3rd July) and finally - Chic ft Nile Rogers on the 4th September! Massive, simply massive.

Think back to any cool disco or funk track from back in the day and there is a good chance Nile Rogers produced it, no doubt laying down some kind of guitar riff too. We're talking ‘He's The Greatest Dancer' for Sister Sledge, ‘I'm Coming Out' for Diana Ross, Bowie's ‘Let's Dance' and most recently on Daft Punk's latest offering ‘Get Lucky.' This will be a highlight of the season, and a gig which will no doubt be referenced as one of the best the Ibiza Rocks Hotel has seen.

On top of these headline additions, Ibiza Rocks will also be supporting new talent, as Findlay, Amplify Dot, London Grammar and Temples join the previously announced supporting acts of Palma Violets, The Other Tribe, Jagwar Ma and Redlight - all continuing the promise to showcase new music.

“Very, very excited to be back at Ibiza and Mallorca Rocks, can't wait to perform some of the new album! Let's f@ckin' 'ave it!” - Professor Green

“We're incredibly proud of this year's line up, the mix feels just right. I don't think you will see Biffy Clyro or Foals doing anything as intimate as our Rocks shows this year. Bringing two genuine music icons in Liam Gallagher with Beady Eye and Nile Rodgers with Chic to perform will be big highlights. Liam is an icon of the Rocks generation and Nile has inspired and influenced music beyond recognition – especially in Ibiza. At the same time brilliant new talent like Jake Bugg and AlunaGeorge are coming through as headliners. It's an exciting time. We're in for another brilliant summer in the Balearics” - Shane Murray

MTV UK will will broadcasting the gigs on MTV Music and MTV Live, so be sure to check that out before you fly to the island, and you'll probably be wanting to sort a spec at one of the gigs. Tickets can be purchased below.
