Between San José and San Antonio on the turning to Cala Conta (Platges de Compte), this inviting restaurant specialises in meat and fish sourced from a trusted local supplier and cooked on its specially made Argentinian grill.
Chimichurri Restaurant's unassuming exterior belies both what is inside and what is on offer. The restaurant has a magical garden dining area to the rear, which in summer is full with diners from across the world as well as locals, so it is always wise to book ahead. People travel from all across the island for its famous smokey grilled meats, such as entrecote, chuletón and the now popular Argentinian cut entraña.
There are a variety of classic dishes such as breaded pork escalopes, Texas-style ribs, chicken or lamb brochette kebabs and German sausages sourced from the island. You will also find a great list of salads and some great starters from deep fried prawns to pimientos de padrón. There are mixed meat grills for sharing and all dishes are generously portioned. Some excellent wines are offered, as are 80 beers from around the world. Children's menu choices are available on request and the restaurant is family friendly.
The restaurant has super attentive staff and offers its a la carte menu in the evenings, on weekends and on bank holidays.
