Located on the famous San Juan "restaurant road", close to San Lorenzo, is this jewel of a restaurant created in an old finca with the main portico clad by bougainvillea. A beautiful rural oasis.
You'll see gnarled Juniper wood beams on the ceilings and throughout the restaurant with the entire place having a country feel with touches of the Argentine gaucho in the decor, indicating the origins of its owner Marisa. Thick wooden tables, a lovely sweeping bar and a pretty partly shaded courtyard add to the look and feel.
Expect a very friendly welcome from Marisa and her team of serving staff: here, table service comes with a big smile. Utmost care goes into food sourcing with the highest quality grass-fed meat sourced from all over Spain with special cuts like ojo de bife from Argentina itself. Even the Ibizan sobrasada spicy sausage is artisanal.
Everything is cooked to perfection, using time worn methods to achieve the best in taste, texture and perfect doneness. You'll see some of the meat cooked over wood in an open fireplace inside the restaurant, giving you a warm glow and the assurance that this is a true temple to food. Wines come courtesy of carefully handpicked suppliers, there's a range of premium spirits and some special beers, including a black one from Argentina.
When you leave Can Muson de Sa Vila, you'll be planning how quickly you can return.
