Details of the lineup for Sankeys opening parties have been released, and it isn't one to disappoint. After a hugely succesful 2012 season in which the owner, David Vincent, and his team managed to further cement their strong position on the island, they are clearly hugely driven towards making the coming season their best yet. We've already had news of some of the people involved in throwing parties, from Steve Lawler's 'Viva Warriors', Claude VonStroke's 'Dirtybird', in-house Saturday stalwart 'Carnival' to worker favourite 'Departure'.
David Vincent has promised a newly transformed club for the season, with a major focus on improving The Box. A new soundsystem will go in, designed by New York's Anthem Productions, configuring the room with a '3D element'.
The opening party is once again spread over two nights, Thursday 23rd to Friday 24th May. Thursday will see Steve Lawler, Nina Kraviz, Darius Syrossian, Jonathan Cowan, Mosca, Shadow Child, Waze & Odyssey all play, supported by Troupe hosting the Spektrum with Charlie Banks and Finnebassen (by order of the fans!) Friday sees a much wanted return of the Diynamic family with Solomun, H.O.S.H. and David August, along with Bones, Cajmere, Just Be, Antonio Piacquadio, Alex Picone and Luis Groove.
