MOMA Ibiza: First Announcements For Summer 2013

Space, Ushuaïa, Sankeys, Bora Bora...and MOMA! Playa d'en Bossa will definitely be Ibiza's prime clubbing destination this summer.

The second part of the Ibiza winter is always a thrilling period of the year. The air is filled with news and rumours about the upcoming season. Which night moves where, which DJ has a new residency, you name it. This year seems extraordinarily exciting already now, as there is a lot of moving around happening. And every now and then, there's even a new club opening, re-opening or changing its name...

Attentive readers will already have noticed that, a few months ago, the 1500 people capacity venue located in the basement of Hotel Garbi in Playa d'en Bossa, was re-opened as MOMA Ibiza. Being a franchise of Madrid's MOMA Fifty Six, the club has undergone minor refurbishment and has since then held a good few successful events, Faruk's New Year's Eve MAGMA party for example, and now serves as the perfect afterparty location after certain Saturday night fiestas also happening in Playa d'en Bossa.

Obviously, the aim behind MOMA Ibiza is to fully establish the brand on the island this coming summer. We had a coffee with the MOMA crew today and their intentions to turn the club into a fixture of the Ibiza nightclub scene are both serious and realistic. Three weekly club nights are confirmed already, presenting well-established international DJs that have played on the island countless times before on one hand, and Ibiza-debuting label nights with emerging talent on the other hand.

We'll give you a little exclusive preview about one of those weekly events, simply called Deep, happening on Wednesdays from 12th June onwards. Oliver Koletzki and Robosonic are both confirmed for the opening party and during the season, regular appearances from DJs and producers Marco Bailey (always with a special guest in tow), Danny Howells, Climbers (remember their 'Equal Responsibility'?) and Lovebirds are lined up so far, with more acts still to be announced, and Nico Pusch and Stereo Express performing on resident duties. We can't spill the beans yet though regarding the other nights, but - to put it simple - if you like a good night out, enjoying new and upcoming talent in the deep and tech house sector, you will have one more option in Playa d'en Bossa this summer.

More on this and other nights at MOMA Ibiza as soon as we can. Oh, and two more things: Affordable drink prices? Yes. Tickets available on Spotlight? Of course, soon.
