I began my night by exploring the club and hearing Pacha resident Andy Baxter mixing in Live your life by Erick Morillo which definitely helped warm up the main room. As usual I went up onto the smoking terrace whilst the crowd filtered in, which is normally filled with people chilling out and mingling as the DJ plays classic tracks like Candy by Cameo. Whilst it was an unexpected and completely different genre to the Subliminal party it was a great way to get in the mood for dancing and get the party started.
After a great warm up I headed back to the main room to be greeted by a blue and red light show and a sea of rather sexy clubbers. At this point my night got even more exciting as I almost walked into Steve Angello, a known fan of Erick Morillo, and I even managed to bag myself a photo. Within minutes Erick Morillo began his set which featured Dennis Ferrer's track Hey hey which, aided by an ice cannon blasting into the crowd, made the room erupt. Smashing out classic hits with a unique energy, which not every DJ possesses, Erick Morillo created a real buzz in the air from start to finish. Mid way through his set things definitely heated up further when Steve Angello joined him in the booth and began sharing shots and generally getting involved with the set and he even hyped up the audience on the mic shouting ´put your hands together for Erick Morillo!´
As usual the positioning of the DJ booth added to the parties' intimate feel and allowed the crowd to get some impressive pictures of the DJ's. The evening as a whole was exciting and sexy from the surprise appearance of Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello to the sexy bondage inspired dancers scattered over the podiums. Without a doubt the crowd was one of the friendliest I have seen in Ibiza so far and although Pacha was certainly busy it wasn't packed out to the rim like it sometimes can be making the Subliminal party even more enjoyable. So be sure to add this fun filled night to your party calendar as it definitely won't disappoint.
