It’s been a rough ride for many over the last couple of weeks as clubbers have had to deal with the news of the closures of Amnesia, DC10 and Bora Bora.
But despite the controversy regarding Amnesia, their two biggest nights will still be opening this week – Cream and Cocoon.
Cocoon opened up on Monday at Privilege, moving across the road from Amnesia for what was an insane night. Sven Vath once again leads the
techno faithful into the darker depths with his Freakshow of 2007.
We’d love to tell you about the Cream opening party on Thursday 21 June – we just don’t know where it is yet !
However, it is confirmed that the opening WILL take place, either at Amnesia, or more likely another venue – so ticket holders need not fret.
Cream is one the longest running nights in Ibiza and each week is a full-on mash up of trance and house. With Paul van Dyk and Eddie Halliwell getting involved for the opening, this will be one to remember – watch this space for further news.
Back to Privilege – and another techno binge – as Meganite arrive for another season on Wednesday 20 June. Mauro
Picotto will be in charge of firing up this event and if you like your electronic music hard – this is one for you. Full review to follow this week.
On Tuesday 19 June the electrifying Ibiza Rocks plug in their amps for the summer at Bar M. 2007 will be a mega season for Ibiza Rocks with a
blockbuster line up – anyone fancy the Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian or Kaiser Chiefs ?
The View get things started off on Tuesday and we can’t wait.
Later that evening, we’ll also be heading over to El Divino as Kissdafunk dip their funky toes into the water. Already a clubbing phenomenon in the UK,
Kissdafunk know how to throw a party, and with residents Trophy Twins and Rob Tissera on board, we’re expecting great things.
Another top night at El Divino can be found when the Milk’n’2 Sugars crew return for their 2nd season on Monday 25 June. Last year’s debut was a hit as clubbers were treated to the likes of Todd Terry, Cassius and Joey Negro. Now moved to a Monday night, the quality of the music remains with Fedde le Grand, Miguel Migs and CJ Mackintosh all featuring at the opening.
Of course, no weekly preview would be right without a mention of We Love Space – so here it is. Layo & Bushwacka ! lead the way on Sunday 24 June with Mr C, Smokin Jo, James Zabiela and Tom Novy…and many more !
