At the start of the season, we went to the Armada opening bash and were happy to report on one of the best parties so far.
Nick Warren, Markus Schulz and Armin van Buuren all had a great night – although it’s fair to say that the crowd had an even better
time.
On Tuesday 28th August, we made our way to Armada once more to see if the magic was still there. Tonight there was no Nick Warren but instead a rather special back-to-back set featuring Markus and Armin, so we were keen to see how this was going to go down.
Surprisingly, Amnesia wasn’t as busy as we had expected it to be, although still busy enough to generate a great atmosphere, but with room to dance your sins away.
And this is one of the main reasons why Armada has been so successful here in Ibiza.
Armada has consistently been a top night of top music – mostly a trance night but always verging on other genres. Armin has risen to the top of the dj rankings and rarely puts a foot wrong
when behind the decks.
Yet despite this, Armada is never too busy that you can't go and enjoy yourself fully on the dancefloor, without worrying about throwing an elbow in someone’s face.
As far as the music goes, well, let’s just say that it’s been a fantastic season for Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz and tonight they were both on top form, playing an awesome set
ranging from trance, techno and progressive - and really getting the crowd in the mood.
The Amnesia terrace, now hosted by What’s Up ?, offered a decent alternative to the main room, with some good music being played out.
However, it’s clear that this night was all about Armin van Buuren and Markus Schulz, as they crowds made it to the main room…and generally stayed there !
