If you ain't heard of DJ Sammy and come on who hasn't this year, where the hell have you been - admit it, you did at least once have "Boys of Summer" playing at peak volume in your car whilst singing along at the top of your voice.
Ok, so maybe not one of your all time fav tunes but for sure, don't judge his new weekly Tuesday night slot at Es Paradis before you've tried… Even without DJ Sammy headlining Fiesta Del Agua, Ibiza's legendary water party is always a sure crowd puller.
Attracting all sorts of odd-bods from your local young Spanish stallion to your "shirted and shiny shoed" 2wentys English holiday maker, the crowd is as varied as the kind of things you will find floating in the water when the club closes! Easily surpassing "across the road's" queue (they didn't even have one), the backlog of people stretched around the corner and up the street all eagerly waiting to enter "Heaven".
Inside painted a very similar picture. With people spilling into every available space - on stairs, on podiums, on comfy cushions - where I eventually parked my arse but was soon removed for arrival of the water, yikes! With jet sprays, fountains and gushing of water filling the "dance floor pit", I made a quick exit to a balcony (camera's don't do water!) to witness the antics and mayhem of people and agua -crazy!
The atmosphere was phenomenal - it even bought a teeny smile and chill to me as I eye witnessed every single human being diving in and enjoying themselves to the God of "Heaven" himself, DJ Sammy, at without-a-doubt Es Paradis most successful night.
