Review: Nikki Beach's White Party

A white island party....

If you have never been to a Nikki Beach, then be prepared; shiny sports cars by the entrance, personal greeting and an escort to your table. Welcome to the White Party - it's open to everyone, but almost feels private.

Just 5 minutes from Santa Eulalia, we found ourselves suddenly out of Ibiza and bang in the 'Nikki-Show'. Our eyes trying to take in the beauty and attention to detail everywhere with bars decorated with feathers, trees embraced by flowers and everything and everyone dressed in white of course. Strictly, sparkling, pristine white!!! We even saw some guests rejected at the door, so strict was the policy.

So while the men got out their white shorts or linen trousers and casual shirts, as well as the occasional fun outfit, well the girls, they really didn't hold back. High heels galore, short and long dresses, hats, scarves, bags. It looked like the scene from a traditional Ibicenco wedding.

We found a place to watch the show with a resfreshing mojito. (Add the 19th of June to your calendar - Nikki Beach have a party dedicated wholly and souly to the 'Mojitos'). Beautiful tanned girls twisted and danced to the beats on stage, on little walls near the tables and even in a transparent tube! Meanwhile Cuban musicians went bongo crazy to accompany DJ Sarah Main's beats whilst yet more dancers took centre stage, this time interspersed with a saxophonist and electric violin player. It was a full on show whilst the crowd were finding the best spot for watching, either comfortably spread out on the VIP sunbeds or ready to groove on the wooden decking or sandy area.

A beautiful day in Ibiza surrounded by beautiful people, keep your eyes open for the next one.
