IMS announces first speakers for 10th edition 2017

New Order, Dixon and The Black Madonna to lead dance floor debates at IMS 2017.

Before we fully launch ourselves into a season of beat-driven excess, we'll be taking a detour from the clubs and delving into a little dance floor deliberation at this year's International Music Summit (IMS).

It's a biggie this summer with it being the conference's 10th edition, and to mark this monumental milestone anniversary we'll be hearing from some of electronic music's most progressive business minds, and a selection of the industry's most established DJs and artists.

Scheduled to make an appearance across the three-day event at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza(Wednesday 24 May until Friday 26 May) are Bernard Sumner from New Order, Dixon, Masters At Work, The Black Madonna, The Martinez Brothers, and elrow´s The Arnau Family.

Spearheading the digital conversations are Patrick Walker, Director of Media Partnerships at Facebook, and Spotify's Global Head of Dance/Electronic, Austin Kramer, with both offering keynotes and Best Practice sessions on using their platforms. Continuing the digital conversation will be global online editorial platform Resident Advisor's founders Nick Sabine and Paul Clement. Completing the first ten speakers is one of dance music's most legendary ambassadors Gianfranco Bortolotti, the name behind many ‘Italo-house' classics and owner of Media Records.

IMS Ibiza will also cover a catalogue of hot topics most important to the electronic music industry. Confirmed so far is Meet The New Member Of My Band: He's A Coder (hosted by Young Guns Network), Health Vs Hedonism (hosted by She Said So & Native Instruments), also the continual IMS debate on Diversity in the industry as well as masterclasses on production techniques, Facebook Live Streaming and Spotify Playlist Best Practices.

If your appreciation for electronic music and the dance music industry goes far beyond those dance floors, we´d strongly recommend you make sure you´re in attendance.
