7 legendary DJs to see on Ibiza this week

Seven wonders of the music world playing on the White Isle this week.

Ibiza is buzzing with old school legends - it's a home from home for the DJs who've spent years making their name internationally at the island's clubs. August always takes things up a notch, and as more music lovers descend on the White Isle's dance floors, it becomes the norm to see icons of the scene on every incredible line-up. We scoured the upcoming week for seven legendary DJs to get your teeth into - it was a tough job, but here are our top picks for the coming seven days.

Monday 1 August / Todd Terry / The Redlight at Sankeys

Mondays at Sankeys are taken over by The Redlight, where UK garage meets US house in a joint effort to provide Sankeys stompers with music worth sashaying to. Todd Terry - who doesn't need an introduction - graces the warehouse-like stage to pump out some piano house classics, giving the power of reminiscence to all those in the crowd who were lucky enough to be there in the 90s. Expect orgasmic samples and Haçienda game changers.

Tuesday 2 August / Carl Cox / Music Is Revolution The Final Chapter at Space

Carl Cox is the highlight of every Tuesday here in Ibiza. It's getting closer to Space's closing, which is indeed both impelling yet slightly depressing, and therefore it's every raver's duty to catch the ultimate techno king at least three times this summer before we wave goodbye. Music Is Revolution has spread its chapters across this summer and this Tuesday, Coxy is joined by Nicole Moudaber and Sasha to name a few, better yet, El Salon will be home to our very own Spotlight fiesta. Shots are on us!

Wednesday 3 August / Axwell & Ingrosso / Axwell Ingrosso at Ushuaïa

Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso continue their Swedish House Mafia legacy and share their pounding basslines and hair-raising drops with us at Ushuaïa this Wednesday, completed with erupting fire shooters and laser shows that look like they've travelled back in time from the future. Lost Frequencies, Tom Staar and Kimotion are also on the bill for this show, undoubtably making it one to remember.

Thursday 4 August / Paul Van Dyk / Cream at Space

Cream has been one of the biggest attractions on the island since it was brought to Amnesia in 1994, and Paul Van Dyk hasn't held back when it comes to definining the best club experiences for young and old clubbers in Amnesia. Every Ibiza-goer has to experience Cream at least once, especially when the genius behind 'For An Angel' is headlining, along with very special guests Ferry Corsten and Sander Van Doorn.

Friday 5 August / DJ EZ / Creamfields Ibiza at Space

August is a month of festivals in Ibiza - Radio 1 Weekender takes over Ushuaïa, and Space welcomes international festival Creamfields for a day of EDM, house and garage, spread across Space with multiple stages for an impressive 10 hours. DJ EZ has been at the forefront of the DJing world since his boost in popularity these past few years, keeping his crowds on their feet for up to three hours straight, so wear your comfiest shoes!

Saturday 6 August / Pete Tong / ANTS at Ushuaïa

Named the 'Pied Piper of dance music', Pete Tong has an illustrious history on La Isla. This Saturday, he joins the ANTS colony for a journey through deep house and techno. Tong has impressively played most venues on the island and will be making a swift recovery from the Radio 1 Weekender on Friday to play at Ushuaïa the following day. Joining him will be the likes of Eli & Fur, Joris Voorn and Route 94.

Sunday 7 August / Derrick Carter / Sundays at Space

Sundays at Space is like the lounge to a house; the Sunday roast at the end of the week; the cup of tea in the morning. Happy, relaxing vibes take over and ravers end their week on only the best of notes. Derrick Carter is known as one of the pinnacles of Chicago house, and this Sunday, he'll no doubt take us back to where it all began. Bring your best dance moves for when Carter mixes disco with jazz and soul with house, catering for our every musical need.
