7 techno DJs to see on Ibiza this week

Teasing you with a ton of techno ammo.

Techno techno TECHNO. Yes, techno magnets, we're back on the darkest side of dance music this week, with seven high-octane artists to get your arses from Monday to Sunday. As per, the horsepower is spread across the island and we'll be taking a dip into clubs to give you the variety you crave.

Monday 22 August / Gary Beck B2B Slam / ONYX at Space

Some of Scotland's finest are landing for a beastly laser spin that will infiltrate your membranes with the rough stuff. Slam have been cutting up the restless beats since the late '80s and have held their dominance ever since. Fellow Glaswegian, Gary Beck, is of a fresher wave of Scottish techno talent and he's earned himself a solid reputation among the underground's finest. A B2B with these three is guaranteed to be a mega highlight of the week.

Tuesday 23 August / Loco Dice / Music Is Revolution at Space

Ibiza's prodigal son, Loco Dice, can mostly be found at HYTE at Amnesia this year, after spearheading a drive to make it one of the island's strongest techno parties. Tuesday is a very special date for Loco Dice - it's the only one he'll be standing alongside one of Britain's most powerful exports, Carl Cox. They're not in the Discoteca B2B, but man do these guys know how to complement each other, so Dice is sure to have that floor warmed up to scorching levels before the main man of the show enters the playing field.

Wednesday 24 August / Stacey Pullen / Paradise at DC-10

An innovator from the Second Wave of Detroit techno, Pullen grew up under the mentorship of Detroit's legendary three: Derrick May, Juan Atkins and Kevin Saunderson. We're sure the Ibiza regulars who dance to the techno beat will be familiar with this spinner's name, especially as a firm Music On favourite, but if you're not yet familiar, this is the date and venue to make sure you are. Wednesday is the only date he'll be joining Jamie Jones at DC-10 for Paradise in 2016 – enough said.

Thursday 25 August / Voices From The Lake / Afterlife at Space

Another special one entering into what should be your itinerary for the week is a one-off appearance from Voices From The Lake. Comprised of Donato Dozzy and Neel, this duo is an intensely personal project born from a long-standing friendship between the two Italian DJ/producers. Their intentions are to explore the ambient side of techno, but with a lot of emphasis on the ‘techno' element. They've got some absolute bangers in their creative banks so make sure you're there to hear them within the walls of Space.

Friday 26 August / Sam Paganini / Music On at Amnesia

Sexy, dark, hypnotic techno is what Paganini stands for and Amnesia's main room has got to be one of the best spots in Ibiza to digest this blend of techno power. The Italian veteran has a discography that stretches back to 1993 and has achieved notoriety over the last 15 years. He's always on the hunt for a driving groove and deep atmosphere and so are we, ladies and gentlemen, so get hunting you raving roasters.

Saturday 27 August / Sasha / elrow at Space

La Terraza is once again in the trusted hands of Welsh weapon, Sasha, and this will be his last with the elrow crew. Sasha defined the superstar DJ era and in the '90s, he was probably the first DJ to see the inside of a private plane and undoubtedly the first to be treated like a pop star. Long sets are his modus operandi so get there primed for what will be his last all night long session (that we know of) for season 2016.

Sunday 28 August / Paul Ritch / Materia at Vista Club (Privilege)

Since taking the techno scene by storm in 2007, both on stage and as a producer, Ritch has gone on to become one of the underground´s most active players. Powerful, harmonic techno represents his signature sound and this week we´ll be having some of that at Materia for its closing party. Ritch has been in demand this season with a host of different residencies getting him in for a spin, including Unusual Suspects, Music On, elrow and ONYX.
