Review: Pretty Intricate body painting in Ibiza

Get glittered up pre-partying in Ibiza.

Body paint is on the to-do list of many people as they touch down in Ibiza, so on one sunny Saturday, Team Spotlight decided to get involved in the growing trend for everything that glitters. Our destination of choice for transforming into beautiful painted beings was Pretty Intricate - a hub of body painting specialists centrally located in Playa d'en Bossa.

Weekends in Ibiza are filled with painted up party-goers - every venue you visit is chock full of them. You'll see groups of friends dressed like leopards, girls adorned as butterflies and guys with their tops off being painted as their favourite animal (sometimes the girls are brave enough to join in on this action too!) Everyone makes it a must to get painted at least once on a visit to the island. And at Pretty Intricate, the painting was taken to new levels - there were people covered in rainbow colours from the hip upwards - a trend that quickly caught on with excited revellers.

Clubbers were queueing out the door to get glitzed and glammed up to the max, ready to spend their afternoon glistening in the sunlight at parties like ANTS and The Zoo Project. There's a choice of prints and colours available, so it's possible to create whatever look you want. Prices vary depending on the package you choose, with some of them including super club entry, party coach transfers and open bar services. They also offer a popular hen party deal that combines body painting with an hour of unlimited alcoholic and soft drinks throughout the session. So whatever it is you're after, Pretty Intricate has most bases covered.

Myself and my fellow Spotlighters decided to get our faces embellished with animal print and glitter prior to heading to The Zoo Project. Later on we relished the sense of tribal togetherness you feel as part of a crowd where everyone's indulged their animal spirit. Next time I'll be more daring and go for the full works- that's for sure.

Pretty Intricate is located in a 24/7 bar in Playa d'en Bossa, so you can enjoy a few drinks and have a pre-party before heading off to party the afternoon away and unleash your inner roar.
