IMS announces first speakers and artists

The 9th edition of the industry leading conference is upon us.

In a schedule already jam-packed with parties we can take a little detour from the dance floor and talk about the speakers and artists involved with this years International Music Summit, more commonly known as the IMS. Widely regarded to be one of the best dance music focused conferences, the IMS is designed to bring together those interested in making the scene the best it can be. The politics, the trends, the good, the bad - all of it is discussed and debated by leading figures from the industry, the artists and the fans.

The three day event takes place at Plays d'en Bossa's Hard Rock Hotel, next to Ushusïa, from Wednesday 25th May until Friday 27th May, closing out with the Dalt Vila show on the Friday night.

There are 20 artists and 20 industry speakers currently confirmed. For the artists, highlights include a rare appearance by the Pet Shop Boys, Carl Cox, Richie Hawtin, Seth Troxler and B.Traits. All are known to have a strong voice and opinion on important issues for the scene and you can expect them to have invaluable input to the discussion.

For the panellist speakers, the IMS has put together a fantastic range of industry figures to help guide and give their opinions on the future of dance music culture. Representitives from Crowdmix, Space, Warner, Ushuaïa, AFEM, R&S Records, BMI, Tracksource and many more will be on panels across the three days.
