Ibiza Rocks line-up out for 2016

A diverse set of artists on the Ibiza live music stage. Ibiza Rocks is back!.

In the game of hosting some of the best live music heard across the White Isle, Ibiza Rocks holds the throne and in 2016, the ground-breaking brand returns with another stellar line-up. Last year Ibiza Rocks turned 10 which is a massive milestone in need of celebration and it did just that. One season on with a slew of incredible live shows, we're going to be reminded of why exactly the brand has managed to tear through the years and reach a decade in the business.

Kicking things off at the opening party on 15th June is Mercury prize nominees Slaves who were part of Rocks' biggest night of the year at its birthday show in support of The Libertines. They were outstanding, and after crafting the critically acclaimed debut Are You Satisfied? the hot on the scene garage-punk duo will take to the stage as headliners in their own right. Staying loyal to Rocks longstanding reputation for championing the very best new talent, next on the bill in June is BBC Sound of 2016 and BRITs Critic Choice award winner Jack Garratt. Already considered part of the family, Jack stole the crowd during his intimate set at the Ibiza Rocks Christmas party last year and on 29th June he'll bring his multi-instrumental live show to the world-famous Ibiza Rocks main stage for the very first time, supported by supreme new talent, electronic-soul duo HONNE.

Now, from fresh on the scene talent to the mainstays who have stolen the ears of millions of fans over their years of making music. Three time Grammy award winners LCD Soundsystem play a huge role in Ibiza Rocks' history with live shows that proved live music had a home here. The band is back on Ibiza soil in 2016 for its birthday celebrations on Wednesday 6th July, and you should consider this date to be just a little bit exclusive, as they'll only be playing a handful of shows across the world this summer.Another seminal band with a tightly formed bond in the brand's history is Kaiser Chiefs, which featured on a summer line-up that boasted Artic Monkeys, LCD Soundsystem, Mark Ronson and Kasabian. 5th August is the date for the Leeds lads to make a return to headliner position with what will be a very special gig. Also no strangers to our ears with over 15 million record sales under their belt, is pioneering dance outfit Faithless. Creating some of the greatest classics in dance, it was one of the first acts to play Ibiza Rocks in 2005 and reunited last summer to celebrate their 20th anniversary, performing as part of Radio 1's '20 Years in Ibiza' weekend at Ibiza Rocks Hotel. The Faithless gig on 31st August is no doubt going to be an absolute dancefloor dismantler. In-demand producer Diplo and his electronic dance troupe Major Lazer Soundsytem is all set to lead the crowds down an eclectic path of house, dancehall and electro on Wednesday 13th July in the second weekend of Ibiza Rocks Birthday celebrations.

Also billed on the season line-up is Ibiza favourite Tinie Tempah. With a bit of an on-going love affair with our beloved island, he'll be back with new material and huge hits including UK No.1 single ‘Not Letting Go' wihich features grammy award winner and fellow Rocks artist Jess Glynne. Jess herself will also be making a return two years on from her first play at Ibiza Rocks.

We've never felt disappointed by Ibiza Rocks and with that level of live music artistry, our trust is once again placed fully in the hands of the Rocks pack.

This year is hugely exciting for us at Ibiza Rocks as we embark on our second decade on the island. LCD Soundsystem debuted for us way back in 2004 for a show that was pivotal in inspiring our live music revolution in Ibiza. It felt special - upstart promoters and a maverick producer challenging the way things were. They return as one of the world's biggest bands and we couldn't be prouder. With Faithless and Major Lazer Soundsystem joining us we've got three global festival headliners at the Ibiza Rocks Hotel this year and that's because there simply isn't another gig atmosphere like it for artists and fans alike. Then we have new talents like Slaves, Jack Garratt and Jess Glynne who we've brought up through the ranks from support slots to headliners and firm favourites like Tinie Tempah and Kaiser Chiefs who consistently put on a brilliant live show. There's more to come and we can't wait.” - Shane Murray, Brand Director, Ibiza Rocks Group
