Glitterbox returns to Space for 2016 season

The hoarding of glitz and glamour will return to the terrace for a second year this summer.

After a knock-out season of all-out adoration, Glitterbox's disco and house drenched pouring into the realms of sparkle-loaded glamour will make a return to Space's celestial dancefloor in 2016 for the club's final season. It will return to its Friday slot from the 3rd of June until the 23rd of September to rain down with a dynamic downpour of the elements that will transform the Playa D'en Bossa institution into a glittering, decadent playground fit for the chic and sleek.

It rocketed out of 2014 as the runaway success story of the season and 2015 saw Glitterbox burst out the sparkle box in its new residential home with a more forceful grab for yet more hearts and souls of clubbers who were to be taken within its realms and returned, enlighted. The last statement of emotional appeal isn't an exaggeration going by the catalogue of reviews Glitterbox filed in. Its music policy of gathering revered DJs whose names could each truly be followed by the word 'legend', gave this fiesta the steam to crusade on a course to becoming universally lauded. Greg Wilson, Todd Terry, Horse Meat Disco, Hercules and Love Affair, Fatboy Slim, Julio Bashmore, Aeroplane, DJ Pippi, Basement Jaxx, and Joey Negro are just a small handful of names that set up camp to wave their music magic dust in an environment that with feisty, gender bending male dance crews and sumptuous podium babes, gave the crowds just as much to visually gawk at. The music can speak for itself week-in, week-out, but when it goes so well with all things that sparkle, why skimp on extravagance?

Reckless indulgence is set to arrive thick and heavy this summer from the Glitterbox crew that is without a doubt determined to make sure that it contributes to Space's final season going out with an audible bang. Confirmed lineup dicers includes Glitterbox founder, DJ and Defected label-head Simon Dunmore and roster favourites Basement Jaxx, Dimitri From Paris, Todd Terry, Joey Negro, Roger Sanchez, DJ Pippi and Purple Disco Machine. Oh but there will be more, don't get your glitterbag in a dusty state. It's going to be deep, it's going to be vibrant and it's going to be brimming at bursting level with sets that bleed with house and disco at their finest.
