On Thursday 29th August Sands Bar Ibiza will play host to Adam Beyer and his umbral imprint: Drumcode. This will be the second showcase from the Swedish techno label this season and will feature Alan Fitzpatrick (checkout his Spotlight podcast here), Ida Engberg and Joel Mull alongside Lebanese force Nicole Moudaber (read her interview here). As per usual with the Sands parties, entry is free and proceedings begin at 3pm.
After recent contributions from Glaswegian innovators Slam, Paul Ritch and Joseph Capriati Drumcode has continued to cement its reputation as a solid purveyor of a near-contemporary techno sound. Founded by Beyer in '96 artists and aesthetic alike act to evoke a brooding, remorseless form of weighty classicism. Beyer's partner Ida Engberg will bring a lighter, tropical - relatively speaking - voice to the affair whilst fellow Swede and rising power Joel Mull flirts with shifting vintage audiology. Since 2011's '15 years of Drumcode' Beyer and FItzpatrick have continued to embrace Europe's partial return to a darker climate - the warm setting of the Ibicenco sun awaits.
