Finally, the summer line-up for the second season of ‘Luciano & Friends' has been announced in its entirety. Taking one look at it, it was clearly worth the impatient waiting and anxious nail-biting. With ten dates left including six ‘Festival Edition' specials, our favourite Swiss-Chilean DJ and his pals will have each grain of sand on Play d'en Bossa beach tremble as they supply Ushuaia with sweet Balearic beats and a fiesta vibe.
The standard residency is in the Ushuaia Club; however the Festival Editions will include the new Ushuaia Tower, and also VIP access to continue the party afterhours in the Sky Lounge until 3am. Regular guests over the whole residency include Ushuaia resident and Cadenza favourite Andrea Oliva. Oliva's minimal techno and tech house sound is becoming synonymous with Ibiza this summer. Chilean up-and-comer Alfonso Léon is also no stranger to Ibiza and will join Luciano a lot over the season.
Other highlights include Dennis Ferrer playing the Objektivity Festival Edition on 16th July and Franck Roger on 30th July. Franck won't be spending much time in Ibiza this summer so he's definitely one to catch if you can.
23rd July is an extra special Festival Edition; a collaboration with Richie Hawtin's M-nus. In addition to Lee Van Dowski, Dandy Jack and Gianni Callipari playing in The Tower, the poolside stage in Ushuaia will see Alfonso Léon, Barem and Ernesto Ferreyra go back to back, a live set from Gaiser and then to top it off a back to back set from Luciano and the Enter and M-nus King himself Richie Hawtin.
Luciano's signature sound of techno-meets-tribal takes each crowd on a trip of musical synaesthesia. Joined by this stellar list of DJs and the Ibiza sun in this outdoor venue, this residency is truly the epitome of ‘summer'.
