Understanding the 'midweek hump' assignment, House In Paradise brings pure party vibes to help get us over it. A day out at O Beach is never to be sniffed at, so when the invitation landed, we didn't hesitate to accept the offer.
Rolling with the full posse, Lissy, Hayley, Jo, Charlotte and Steve we along for an afternoon of tropical highs at the self-prescribed "perfecters of the pool party".
All in the name of research, you understand. In order for us to report back to our lovely readers about what to expect.
House in Paradise hits tropical highs at O Beach
After a long day at the office (and in dire need of a dance), we got inside just as things are hitting their peak. Uplifting vocal House was the order of the day, so it didn't take us long to get out of work mode, recalibrate and recline into a leisurely state.
There wasn't a spare bed in the entire gaff, though fortunately O Beach had been kind enough to reserve us a spot right next to the DJ booth. The hostesses, waitresses and bar staff clearly earned their keep on a day like this, with the dancefloor being just as lively.
The name of the party speaks for itself, but still, it came as a pleasant surprise to hear Kerri Chandler's old school House anthems You're In My System blare through the speakers.
Nowadays, with lots of the younger generation expecting only the hottest current tracks, it was fun to hear such a well reversed classic grace the day club. It still had exactly the same impact of that of its modern day counterparts.
At this point, the pool became a second dancefloor with the arrival of talented trio M3 Ibiza and the snappy claws of the swinging crab hanging above them.
As peak party hour struck the ensemble took to the podium stage, centred in the pool.
Guitar, violin and saxophone in hand, the trio brought Herd & Fitz' I Just Can't Get Enough to life. With Abigail Bailey’s original vocal hook playing over top and that oh so sexy sax solo, heads were definitely turned. The classic drops didn't stop there.
Throughout the day we heard Robert Miles' Children and got lost in the moment to Underworld's Born Slippy. Tunes of this stature in the company of friends, under the beating Balearic sun - what more can we say? It's just another day in paradise.
Memories are waiting to be made on O Beach's vibrant dancefloor every Wednesday at House In Paradise. You have four more weeks to get in on the action with the final fiesta locked in for 2 October.
Enjoy yourself, go wild and fully embrace the Ibiza vibe laid on every week.
