After a sizzling, busy August, temperatures are starting to cool down a little as the island shifts gears from high season frenzy to the more chilled, mid-season months of September and October.
In fact, for many locals these are the best weeks of the year as we can all enjoy the warmth and sunshine of late summer, but with a little more space to breathe. It's still hot and there are still plenty of opportunities to dance, but the beaches are emptier, the restaurants less hectic and the general pace of life is more tranquil.

Cooler temperatures
Don't get us wrong - we love a sizzling summer's day, but after two months of intense heat and humidity, we are looking forward to cooling off! Mid season offers plenty of golden sunshine and pleasant water temperatures, but it's less intense than August or July.
Emptier beaches
In high season, you almost don't have enough space to set foot on the sand. From September onwards, it's a different story, though! With fewer visitors on the islands and a more tranquil vibe, it's time to rediscover Ibiza and Formentera's beautiful beaches. Enjoy a dip in the crystal waters or simply enjoy a gentle stroll on powdery sands…
Laidback lunches
Savour the flavours of the islands with a leisurely lunch at one of Ibiza and Formentera’s fantastic seaside restaurants. Many of them will stay open until October, and you can enjoy a more relaxed vibe than during the high season.
