Super chic beach club-restaurant El Silencio Ibiza, situated in Cala Molí, in the southwest of the island, keeps making waves in summer 2024 with its exciting new features.
For the 3rd edition Mauro Colagreco signed the Mediterranean menu of El Silencio. In addition to the eclectic potpourri of high-end gastronomy, cutting-edge art, DJ sessions and beach-side glamour that has won it so many die-hard fans since it opened, its dynamic creators - Arnaud Frisch the founder of El Silencio and Arthur Cohen, founder of Urusai and Ojii - have pushed the boundaries once more by introducing some pioneering innovations that are sure to wow Ibiza's cognoscenti.
Urusai
The first of these is Urusai, a Tokyo-style tapas restaurant that specialises in traditional Izakaya food made with local produce. Its a la carte menu proposes an appetising assortment of dishes.
To bring this creative project to fruition, El Silencio has brought together notable talents. Creative entrepreneur, Olivier Leone, founder of the Japanese restaurant Ojii in Paris, is the creative designer. In the kitchen, two gifted chefs are the brains behind the gourmet fare: Yuji Mikuriya of Ojii and Romain Littière of the Izakaya Onii-San.
The venue itself is visually striking thanks to its contemporary blend of Japanese brutalism design by Kosame and Ibiza culture.
Dubbed ”Izakayaiberian”, the gastronomy showcases contemporary Japanese recipes made with the white island's freshest local produce. Naturally, in such ravishing front-line surroundings as this, fish and seafood figure large.
The highlights on this abundant menu include such dishes as red prawn carpaccio with shiso oil; o-toro sushi with oscietra caviar; toro sando from Onii-San; soba with sea urchin and shiitake cream; and A5 bavette Wagyu donburi.
The focus on local produce can be seen in dishes such as vegetables prepared tempura-style with fermented honey and black garlic, smoked tomatoes over binchotan charcoal in a miso-wasabi sauce, or dengaku eggplant with miso.
An adjacent Tokyo-style bar playing classy vinyl records adds to the vibe by offering Japanese-inspired cocktails.
The Shop
Along with the restaurant, another welcome addition this summer is the arrival of the Paris-born eco-fashion label The Ethiquette. Talk about a match made in heaven!
Founded by the dynamic young Parisian designer, Elena Feit, the brand features upcycled garments made from haute-couture leftovers. The items are produced in a limited series with byproducts from such renowned French fashion firms as Malhia Kent, Soierie Cheval and Swarovski.
Fans of the popular Swedish sunglasses brand Chimi will be delighted to learn it has gained a toehold on the shores of Ibiza with its pop-up store at El Silencio. It looks totally in place thanks to its simple, clean and straightforward design, showcasing the best of classic Nordic architecture.
The Pool Parties
Partygoers, pay heed! After the unbridled success of July's rousing events, El Silencio is proud to announce that the pool parties will take place right up to the end of August. The line-up will be announced every week on El Silencio's Instagram. Kiddy Smile, Emma_B and Maliklindo are among the DJs who will be laying down the beats, with a set from 16:00 to 19:00.
Besides the above trio of summer surprises, El Silencio will also be hosting a series of stimulating cultural events such as talks, concerts and sound healing experiences throughout the summer. So, whether it's trailblazing cuisine, the latest fashion or some of Ibiza's most spectacular sunsets, make El Silencio your destination in summer 2024.
