Selections that soundtracked Solomun all night long at Pacha

Solomun +1 enters a new year with an all-nighter set from the party host himself. Here's the music played.

Although a considerably later start than what we've become used to, Sunday service with Solomun at Pacha has officially resumed! Proudly wearing the badge as one of Ibiza’s most popular parties, Solomun's mid-June opening was a whole month later than recent years.

To mark the occasion, an all night long set from the big Bosnian made it simply unmissable.

It’s easy to become blinded by the all-star names that fill most club posters. However, Solomon's "less is more" mentality proves the adage that quantity should not be confused with quality. The opening party stayed true to those values, with no guest, only Solomun's undivided attention.

A new year, a new sound? He’s not a man known for his stagnancy, so all bets are off.

What is certain, is that you won’t find yourself without a steady two-step groove, and all genre labels are left at the door. All selected by Solomun, here are our top time-stamped drops straight from the dancefloor

Selections that soundtracked Solomun all night long

02:29

Tim Engelhardt & Maga | Alone Together | Scenarios

As expected, everyone here is in it for the long-haul. Showing their devotion to Solomun with a filled-out dancefloor. With a quick scout of the club, a drink in hand and a clear view of the booth, it's over to Solomun to take the lead.

It's not long before this melodic House beat pricks our ears.

02:52

GENESI | Done | AETERNA Records

Warm-up is officially over and it’s time to get down. Enter a House heater with a gritty edge and boisterous bass which sends hands up in the air for the drop and swoops in as an unexpected bass face inducer for those caught off-guard - guilty as charged!

03:02

Rafael Cerato & Moonwalk | Interstellar | Eklektisch

Ever the gracious host, Solomun makes a warm introduction to long-standing friend and Diynamic label alumni Rafael Cerato, guiding the dancefloor into dark Melodic Techno realms.

03:24

Enzo Siffredi & J.O.S.H.U.A | TOOL 007 | Don’t Just...

Nothing beats uncovering hidden gem records direct from the dancefloor and this bouncy little leftfield track is certainly that. There’s no doubt that an underground force of Solomun’s stature is inundated with DJ promos, but his art for crate digging lesser-known drops remains strong.

03:35

Tech Support | Friends | Anti Skate

At this point, Solomun is selecting with clear intentions to raise the vibrations and it’s taking effect on the utterly transfixed crowd. Next, this percussive groover from Tech Support, laced with House euphoria, puts any intentions of stepping outside for a quick breather on hold.

04:25

Biscits | Wait A Minute | Solotoko

As the clock strikes peak-time party, Solomun throws down a naughty Tech House tune. Just wait until that lazer synth build snaps into the drop and try to picture the scenes we find ourselves in on the Pacha dancefloor. It’s going off!

04:30

Luis Radio feat Sabrina Johnson | House Music | Equal Records

Showing his softer side with this classic House leaning curveball? Perhaps. In fact, all night we’ve seen Solomun loosen up in the booth and bust a move when the moment felt right.

05:09

Matt | One More Time | Diynamic

Championing Diynamic’s fresh blood signees, we enter the final hour with a rolling techno number from upcoming alumni Matt. Slapped with a funked-up vocal cut serving the energy shot any wavering clubbers might have needed.

Despite staying to the bitter end, do you think we had enough stamina to attend Solomun's Add-On at 528 Ibiza in Benimussa Hills the next day? We are party professionals, you know? Case closed.

Solomun Add-On | 528 Ibiza | Benimussa Hills

After Sunday night, Solomun has well and truly set the standards for the weeks to follow. Standards which his extended guest list, including DJ Seinfeld, Jamie XX, HAAi, Dixon, Barry Can’t Swim, and Gerd Janson, are well-equipped to smash.

First, though, this week breakout Berlin artist and one of the roster's lesser known quantities DJ Gigola joins Solomun in the booth as the +1 format returns to normal. Gigola plays from midnight, switching over to Solomun at peak-time and then very likely ending in a back-to-back to end.

For all the weeks to follow, and those all important tickets, head to the bottom of this page.
