Two things Ibiza does incredibly well are: food and parties. The island is world leading when it comes to both. Therefore, it's a wonder why more haven't tried to combine the pair sooner?
Setting the stage for a unique day into night fiesta in the hills of San José, GOZO debuts at Cova Santa in 2024. Ibiza's first electronic music party that begins with a traditional Ibizan barbecue gets underway on Saturday 22 June.
GOZO starts with an Ibizan-style barbecue from 19:00, using local products and the option to dine at the on-site restaurant too. 'El Market' will also be open, selling small artworks, gadgets, vinyl records, books and NGO stalls.
Whilst all this is going on, the musical festivities will be in full swing outdoors with two unique spaces.
For the opening party, The Living Room will host a musical jam with DJs and live music by the Spanish collective Homies, providing the soundtrack for the market and barbecue area. Meanwhile, the Terrace dancefloor will host international DJs as the sun goes down.
Afterwards, the party moves downstairs to the venue's famous subterranean club until the early hours.
The opening night will showcase Dekmantel Soundsystem, Paula Tape, Lis Sarroca and Shanti Celeste. Later in summer, Carista, Carl Craig, Gabrielle Kwarteng, Marcel Dettmann and Stacey Pullen are set to appear.
In an effort to drive sustainability, €2 from each ticket sale will be donated to Brian Eno's EarthPercent foundation, supporting environmental projects on the island. You can find tickets on sale below, along with other parties in Cova Santa's programme.
