Martin Garrix pushes things forward at Ushuaïa

No seven year itch for the flying Dutchman, as he returns to Thursdays.

Returning for his seventh summer residency at Ushuaïa, flying Dutchman Martin Garrix is set for another explosive season. From 20 June to 26 September, the man once dubbed EDM's wonderkid comes of age. This summer, it really feels as though Thursdays start to mature.

Don't get us wrong, the party atmosphere is in no danger of slipping. But if Garrix's list of guest DJs are anything to go by, there's certainly a move towards a more distinguished sound.

Along with fresh sounds from the world of Electro, Big Room and Progressive, there are also DJs know for a more "grown up" sound.

Chief amongst them are legendary turntablist and genre-hopping maestro A-Trak, Indie-Dance vocalist Elderbrook, Garrix's fellow countryman Ferreck Dawn and a man with seemingly magic hands, The Magician.

UK chart-topper Jax Jones and British collective Disciples also feature, along with highly respected French producer Martin Solveig.

Away from the stage, Martin Garrix shows his maturity further still as he ploughs ahead with his music academy, which aims to help and inspire the next generation of DJing talent. When the student becomes the mentor, it's a sure sign that we're no longer living in 2013!

Don't worry though, anybody hoping to hear him play Animals is likely to get their wish.

Other names prove Garrix hasn't completely moved away from the party-starting sound he's known for.

Architect of the "matrodasound" Matroda, Brazilian Bass and Future House man NUZB, Million Voices producer Otto Knows, and American major label golden boy Dillon Francis are such proof. The fine array of DJs shows no signs of ending.

Still, there are more talents, such as Blinders, Brooks, Citadelle, Eleganto, KVSH, Lavern, Luicito, Magnificence, Merow, Moksi, Osrin, Pontifexx, SchillistSteven Quarré, Summum, Vluarr, Zerb and Zootah, plus recent Garrix collaborators Third Party and Dubvision.

All add their own vitally vibrant sounds to the party each week.

Our host once again made it into the top three of DJ Mag's influential Top 100 DJs poll last year, proving he operates in a musical world all of his own.
