Akasha, the boutique nightclub at Las Dalias, is a microcosm of Ibiza. By that, we mean it's small in size but looks can be deceiving. Its run of parties this week underlines why you should never take things at face value. Smaller can often mean better!
Starting tonight, Thursday 4 April, Akasha has three consecutive nights of dance music icons in its springtime programme.
Andy Cato and Tom Findlay, AKA Groove Armada, are first up. The duo have too many singles and albums to their name to list here, and their contribution to dance music culture cannot be overstated.
Despite experiencing chart success few can dream of, they have never strayed too far from the underground. Here is an opportunity to catch them up close and personal, playing from the centre of a 300-person capacity club.
Maybe you have work tomorrow? In which case, Friday might prove more tempting.
It's the turn of Phantasy Records supremo Erol Alkan on 5 April. The record label owner and multi-alias producer is the headline act for island radio station OpenLab present OffBeat.
You may recall, OpenLab threw a series of warehouse parties at NUI Ibiza in 2023. This year, it will have more freedom, with a roaming residency - and it starts with a bang with Erol in San Carlos.
Saturday is equally as sublime, as Akasha recalibrates and moves closer to the sound we have become used to. The Soundgarden label head Nick Warren (pictured above) is the big draw on Saturday 6 April, rounding off an incredible run of parties.
Nick's appearances at Akasha are always well-attended. Although the choice on offer may be a pleasant kind of headache to have, we're sure this will be no different.
Regardless of which night you end up at, what an outstanding Thursday to Saturday run that is.
If you've still got the legs, then Playground Foundation looks after the garden and club from midday on Sunday.
Tickets for Groove Armada, Erol Alkan, Nick Warren and all the other parties in Akasha's spring calendar can be purchased below.
