Avid followers of FISHER will already know he announced he and wife Chloe will staying in Australia for a month at the start of June, for the birth of their first child.
We are delighted for the couple, especially as listeners to Chloe's podcast and knowing of the journey they have been on to get to this point. Not gonna lie, it's hit us right in the feels!
That left a quandary as to what happen at Hï Ibiza on Wednesdays, being that those dates fall at the start of his popular residency. Well, now we have the answer.
"My wife's due to give birth this summer and we're both over the moon. To be with Chloe for one of the biggest moments of our lives, I will hand over the reins of my Hï Ibiza residency to the incredible Patrick Topping from 5 June to 26 June."
That's right. Monday night Club Room host Patrick Topping makes the switch to The Theatre for four Wednesdays from 5 June to 26 June with Trick. As far as replacements go, that is A-league. Vintage Culture continues his Club Room residency as planned throughout this period.
This is a chance for Pat to take his big room sound into a larger, higher tech-spec space and adorn crowds with his hard-hitting club anthems and explorations of the underground.
Joining Patrick in The Theatre across all four dates are Voicemail collaborator Green Velvet, fellow Geordie Ben Hemsley, MK, Chris Lake, HoneyLuv, Robbie Doherty and more.
With Patrick's own wife Hayley also recently given birth to their first-born, it's adorable to see one expectant father and one new father mucking together and finding a solution that doesn't hurt clubbers.
Furthermore, to ensure none of his fans are left disappointed, FISHER is planning to extend his residency by an extra week to now close on Wednesday 2 October. Fear not, you'll all still get your dose of FISHER's innovative, throw ya hands in the air Tech House long into summer.
