Fittingly historic roster for Space's monumental Eden residency

Lots of surprises, some old Space faces and plenty of fresh blood coming to Fridays.

Understandably, when an institution as beloved as Space is brought back from the dead, there is always likely to be a degree of cynicism. That's more a reflection of just how dearly it was held in all our hearts. Though, perhaps, critics should have waited to reserve judgement.

Now that a fittingly historic roster of DJs has been announced, we think a few of those more sceptical reactions might be reconsidered. Let's take a look then...

A carefully curated wave of international talent is welcomed to Space's new Eden home, with friends old and new uniting in celebration of the Ibiza spirit.

High-profile highlights include father of German Techno Sven Väth, EDM hit-maker deadmau5, Progressive House originators Sasha and John Digweed, hard-hitting Dubfire and groove queen Nicole Moudaber just for starters.

Anybody lamenting the departure of Defected will find solace that many names that lit up the five year Eden residency are back for Space. Brit favourite Hannah Wants is one, as are Boys Noize and NYC House legends Todd TerryArmand Van Helden and Roger Sanchez.

Names synonymous with those legendary Space on Sundays sessions, like James Zabiela, Paul WoolfordDarius Syrossian and Danny Tenaglia also jump out.

Keeping things fresh, there's also an arsenal of fresh-faced whipper-snappers, some of whom were possibly too young to have ever experienced the original Space.

Luke and Max Dean, Murphy's Law and Toby Simpson are amongst the youngsters charged with pushing the legacy forward.

In addition, there's plenty of schooled Ibiza residents involved, such as Anna Tur, Clara Da CostaJason Bye, Andy Baxter, Jo Mills, Igor Marijuan and Tania Vulcano. The list is extensive to say the least.

Space was the place and, given this latest relevation, it looks like Space will be the place once more.

It all gets underway from 21:00 this coming Friday 26 April, when lots of the above names plus Simon Dunmore, Richy Ahmed, Matthias Tanzmann, Davide Squillace, DetlefJesse Calosso, Daniel Orpi, Federico Grazzini and more all play.
