Become part of AMÉMÉ's One Tribe at Akasha this weekend

Hubert Sodogandji welcomes you for a night of music, art and fashion on 19 April.

Tailored Afro House experience One Tribe hits Las Dalias nightclub Akasha this weekend. It's the latest instalment of the club's springtime programme on Friday 19 April.

Originally conceived in 2017 in New York, where Hubert Sodogandji AKA AMÉMÉ was residing at the time, One Tribe's promising start has since stalled. It was to become another victim of unforeseen global events between 2020-21.

Before the enforced pause, it had been making movements at Brooklyn nightspot House Of Yes in the trendy neighbourhood of Bushwick. Mass public congregations were suddenly off-limits, but during the intervening years, One Tribe switched focus and repositioned itself as a label.

Now, six years after it first started, AMÉMÉ has brought the party series back.

In the first quarter of 2024 alone, AMÉMÉ has already taken One Tribe to some of Europe's best party destinations. He kicked things off at fabriclondon at the start of February, before stopping at Shelter in Amsterdam the following month. It seems logical his next stop would be Ibiza.

Ibiza is somewhere Hubert has thrived since the restart of unrestricted partying in 2022.

His effortless adaptation to playing here meant he surely earmarked the island as a future location for One Tribe. As for what partygoers can expect, One Tribe is the sum of AMÉMÉ artistic identity, encompassing three pillars: art, music and fashion.

As well as AMÉMÉ, also playing are NenaHalena and Jane Ryse. The former of which, has already had two outings on the One Tribe label.

That means we get lots of Afro-leaning House music in AMÉMÉ's inimitable taste.

Afterwards, on Saturday night, Chris Schwarzwälder, Robbie Akbal and Valentín Huedo get behind the decks. Limited free entry spots are available for attendees arriving before midnight.

Then on Sunday, Namasté is back from midday outside in the Las Dalias garden. Gaya Brisa, Karuna, We The People and other familiar faces are back for an all-day affair for the whole family.
