As we're sure you'll know already, a lot of the buzz surrounding the 2024 season centres on Defected's relocation to Ushuaia. We are now just weeks away from the curtain raiser on Tuesday 7 May.
This new era of Defected oversees an impressive line-up of superstar DJs and party favourites, right from the first date. Every Tuesday is full of incredible House music artists. Louie Vega, The Blessed Madonna, Dennis Ferrer, Hannah Wants and Groove Armada are just a few of the headliners Defected has booked for May alone.
Ushuaïa's midweek temptations don't stop there.
The excitement continues on Wednesdays with Tomorrowland presents Dmitri Vegas & Like Mike.
Seeing as the Tomorrowland experience has recently expanded from its Belgium origins to Tomorrowland Winter in France and Terra Solis by Tomorrowland in Dubai, it only seems fair that Tomorrowland does the same on Ibiza too. In past years, this party has only begun in June.
Starting 15 May, the Tomorrowland originals come accompanied by some of the finest talent in EDM. Already Lost Frequencies and Afrojack are confirmed to be appearing in May, with more names to be announced soon. Keep your eyes peeled for further line-up announcements.
For weekend visitors, Ushuaïa's iconic underground party ANTS also commences in May, as we've become accustomed.
On 4 and 11 May, it hosts two epic Day & Night events across Ushuaïa and and sister club Hï Ibiza (yes, the very same crowned DJ Mag's world's number one club two years in a row). From Adam Beyer to John Summit to Cloonee, ANTS isn't short on headliners you can catch in May.
On Sunday nights, you can count on Hï Ibiza's hugely popular Glitterbox (also part of the Defected family) opening weekly from 5 May. We weren't fibbing when we said you've got lots of party options.
May presents an excellent opportunity to visit the island, offering more affordable travel options. Flight and hotel deals are much more reasonable during this period, making it ideal for budget-conscious travellers. These announcements mean it won't be any less enjoyable.
Away from Ushuaïa, many of the island's other clubs are opening their doors in May, meaning you'll enjoy the full Ibiza clubbing experience. With the savings you make, who knows, you might even consider a second trip later in the season? It's win-win, really.
After the unprecedented demand we saw in 2023, could this mean that summer 2024 will be the busiest on the island yet? Whenever you visit, you're guaranteed sunny days and unforgettable parties from the end of April to mid-October.
