International Music Summit is on the move in 2024

The music industry conference has a new home at Mondrian and Hyde in Cala Llonga.

Music industry conference International Music Summit (IMS) is on the move in 2024.

After two years at Destino Pacha Resort, IMS will hold its fifteenth edition at twin hotels Hyde & Mondrian Complex in Cala Llonga.

This brand-new complex only opened in mid-2023. They will exclusively be used by delegates for the three-day conference, which runs from Wednesday 24 April to Friday 26 April.

Although this location has not previously be used, the resort is only a ten minute drive from Ibiza Town. Alternatively, attendees are encouraged to use the 15-minute water taxi service.

In terms of programming, the presenting team of Pete Tong and Jaguar is back again.

Already, several of the topics have been announced. Representatives from Defected Records, Tomorrowland, Ninja Tune and the burgeoning Amapiano scene will all be involved in talks. An increased focus will also be given to the climate emergency, in conjunction with EarthPercent.

Other partnerships announced see contributions from AlphaTheta, Beatport, YouTube, HE.SHE.THEY. and the Association For Electronic Music (A.F.E.M.)

IMS co-founder Ben Turner said, "IMS continues with our 15th event in Ibiza. Now that the industry has enjoyed its bounce-back, this is the real test of stability as consumer habits settle down.

IMS also moves to Cala Llonga, a stunning part of our magical island that is now home to the new Mondrian Ibiza and Hyde Ibiza hotels. We can't wait to host everybody again and continue to help set and drive the conversation."

More information will be available in due course, including word on next year's IMS Grand Finale (pictured above) at Dalt Vila.

While the date is yet to be confirmed, IMS does reference the return of "the iconic Dalt Vila closing celebration at the UNESCO World Heritage Site" - our traditional curtain-raiser to the season. Stay tuned.
