Ibiza's flourishing gastro scene received a big boost this week when two restaurants, Omakase by Walt - located in Ibiza Town - and UNIC - situated in Playa d’en Bossa, were presented their first coveted Michelin Stars at the Michelin Guide Ceremony, held in Barcelona on Tuesday, November 28 2023.

The culinary kudos doesn't stop there, however; Es Tragón, near Cala Gracio, the proud possessor of one star already, was awarded a second star, the Green Michelin. A new award, the Green Michelin is given to establishments for their outstanding commitment to sustainable gastronomy.

These restaurants now join Ibiza's two other existing Michelin Star holders, Etxeko by Martin Berasategui  - in Cala Nova - and La Gaia - in Ibiza Town. Bringing the total to 5 Michelin-starred restaurants garlanded on the island in the past 4 years!

Taking into account the 15 restaurants also selected for inclusion, the prestigious guide now features no fewer than 20 fine dining venues on Ibiza and Formentera.

The news will have fine dining enthusiasts licking their lips in anticipation of the high-end culinary pleasures that await in 2024.
