Franky Rizardo picks his favourite things to do on Ibiza

The Dutch Tech House champion gives his island tips ahead of his final appearance for ANTS at Ushuaïa.

Franky Rizardo has a busy few months ahead of him. The DJ is involved with multiple parties in his homeland over Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE), before international dates playing for elrow and supporting Marco Carola at Club Space Miami.

The FLOW label boss isn't quite done on Ibiza either. Summer may almost be behind us, but Franky has one more commitment left in his diary for 2023.

Away from the music and parties, Franky knows just how special Ibiza is in other aspects. As a regular for ANTS, Music On and elrow, he has spent a lot of time here learning about the other side of the island. Let's face it, the Dutch know how to chill!

Ahead of his final appearance for ANTS at Ushuaïa this coming Saturday 23 September, we caught up with the Tech House champion to get his essential Ibiza lowdown.

Island activity

When I visit the island, it's mainly to perform, but I do try to make time to enjoy the variety of activities the island has to offer. Whether it's being active through a hike or paddle boarding or relaxing at one of the many beach clubs.

Another special way to experience the beauty of the island is by boat, exploring the island's many remote coves and beaches. My main tip: get into that sea water!

Afternoon beach

There are numerous beautiful beaches to visit in Ibiza. If I have to give you some recommendations, then I would suggest Cala Vadella, Cala Gracioneta, Benirrás or Sa Caleta.

Sunset dinner

One of the most beautiful sunsets is probably found at Hostal La Torre.

If you’re up for a romantic night, this is the place to go. You can sit on the rocks with your table, overlooking the sea while enjoying a stunning sunset and great accompanied music, especially when Andy Baxter is playing.

Experimental Beach | Cap des Falco

Experimental Beach in Cap des Falco, off the road to Las Salinas

Another option is Experimental Beach, situated on a cliff at Las Salinas, Ibiza's salt flats. Here too, you'll experience great food and a beautiful sunset with your feet in the sand.

Morning coffee & lunch

My number one spot to recharge with a large breakfast of lunch is Passion Cafe. Offering healthy lunch choices, from juices and protein smoothies to Buddha bowls. I always feel revitalised and set for the day after I've been here.

El Chiringuito | Es Cavallet

Another tip with a nice view is Cappuccino in the Marina, watching the boats pass when overlooking the Old Town. When I really want to have an extensive lunch with my partner or friends, El Chiringuito at Es Cavallet (pictured above) is an amazing place to spend the afternoon.

Party spot

Being the dance music capital of the world in summer, Ibiza offers so many great party spots with lots of variety. During the daytime I enjoy Destino, especially for Marco Carola's Music On. Then at nighttime Pacha and DC10 are always fun.

ANTS | Ushuaïa

Saturday spent at ANTS at Ushuaïa is a fantastic experience as well. Enjoy!

Franky has one more Ibiza date to come this summer, when he returns to ANTS at Ushuaïa. There he'll play alongside Patrick Topping, Andrea Oliva, Syreeta and Tini Gessler.
