A big day for me!
Today was the day of my invitation to House In Paradise to play at O Beach. It’s always nice to get support from your team members and they were out in full force, without even having to ask. I'm lucky to have such an amazing group of people around me.
With my set starting at 14:00, we decided to head down an hour earlier to grab some lunch. I had O Beach's beef ciabatta on my mind all morning, so this was my go to choice. Before I knew it, I had ten minutes until I was due on and the steak sandwich had to be abandoned! Devo.
For some reason I was more nervous playing here than in Hï Ibiza's toilets a week before. I think it was the sheer size of the venue. There was a nice number of people already in, chilling in the pool, ordering drinks to their beds and getting into the party spirit.
I had prepped my USB with an array of vocal House anthems and some understated rollers with a nice bop to them. This was definitely the right blend of music for my set time. You can check out my set list below!
It flew by very quickly and felt like I only played for about 30 minutes. Morgan Kasiera came on after me and he absolutely caned it. He had every O Beach banger you could think of and his fast mixing skills and spin backs were on point.
Afterwards, the Spotlight team shared a few bottles backstage and I caught up with Kt and Reece, who I don't get to see that often. This booking has definitely given me confidence and I'm now even more eager to get some more experience under my belt.
