About Pacha's 50th Anniversary Party
Fifty years ago in 1973, Ricardo Urgell, founder of the Pacha nightclub in Sitges near Barcelona on the mainland, opened a second location on Ibiza. Unbeknownst at the time, his converted finca would become the catalyst that revolutionised the entertainment industry and changed the course of Ibiza's modern history.
We now know that Pacha was Ibiza's first super-club, paving the way for the rest to follow. The brand would grow and grow to a globally-recognised symbol.
During this landmark year, Pacha Ibiza's 50th Anniversary Party brings together all of the things that make it such a magical party destination: its biggest stars, its sexy crowd and its marvelled history. You might say, it's the cherry on top!

Right in the thick of peak season at the height of summer, Pacha's weekly Wednesday party Saga pauses to accommodate this very special occasion.
Where?

The charming and ever-so Balearic building has undergone almost yearly updates. Today's modern club might be very different to the Pacha that stood in the same spot in 1973, as well as considerably larger, but it still drips with that unmistakable Pacha signature.
In recent years, the dancefloor has been widened and the sound system upgraded, making the clubbing element equally as important as its famous VIP. The cherries logo indicates stylish and sophisticated clubbing.

However, the party actually starts at Destino, the adult-only hotel and lifestyle resort located in the idyllic Cap Martinet, just a few minutes' drive outside Ibiza Town. Although primarily being a luxury accommodation complex, Destino also throws a dozen outdoor parties each summer.
The 50th Anniversary Party will be the biggest and most star-studded in its history.
Who?
Pacha rolls out the red carpet for its two most bankable names: Friday night ruler Marco Carola of Music On and long-time Sunday night incumbent Solomun.
Solomun is the giant, Hamburg-residing Bosnian DJ, producer and record label owner, who has turned his +1 Pacha residency into one of the hottest tickets on the island. Weaving melodic and progressive dance music, but not afraid to inject occasional bursts of power, Solly possesses the Midas touch when it comes to controlling the dancefloor.
Equally, Marco Carola's Music On is one of the planet's most established party brands, selling out dancefloors in any party location you could care to imagine but especially here on Ibiza. He has made a name for himself with an unmistakable signature sound of groove-focused Tech House.
While enjoying universal popularity, it's little surprise that Carola's following is particularly strong amongst the loyal Italian crowd.
Very different DJs, they are nonetheless Pacha's biggest crowd-pullers and most valuable assets. Although their individual styles seem to contrast on paper, we often find that this "odd mix" makes for the best, most unpredictable back-to-back sets.
Not merely making up the numbers, Bedouin join Solomun and Carola. The duo of Rami and Tamer bring Middle Eastern influence to their musical repertoire. This sensual sound is most associated with the desert rave Burning Man and Tulum, but Bedouin have transitioned seamlessly to Ibiza with this variation of Deep House.
Aside from artists, the other demographic who will be in noticeable presence will be Pacha's beautiful clientele. Men, women; gay, straight, it says much about how Pacha has positioned itself as an aspirational brand in the last 50 years that its crowd is consistently glam.
Why?
There's no such thing as a silly question, but there are those that are easy to answer. Because...

Unfortunately, our allocation for pre-sale has ended, so well done if you secured your ticket already. In this instance, it has paid to be prepared instead of acting on spontaneity.
