We have officially reached peak summer here on the White Isle, which can be marked by a few things in particular. Whether that be the scorching temperatures, packed out clubs, mad traffic, hundreds of bodies on the floor of Ibiza airport and the annual pilgrimage of BBC Radio 1 with its famous Ibiza Dance weekend.
Since 1995, the UK's biggest radio station has called into Ibiza at various venues for one big weekend of top tier dance music brought to you by some of the biggest DJs of the moment.
We are now just a few days away from what is known to be the busiest weekend on the island and we couldn't be more excited. Whether you're a long-reigning attendee or a total newbie, we're here to talk you through what you can expect over the course of the three days.

BBC Radio 1 Dance Live x Ibiza, 528 Ibiza, Benimussa Hills, Ses Païsses | 16:00 to midnight
Ultimately the main event of the weekend, Radio 1 has taken on a new venue to exhibit its annual festivities for 2023. This super scale party takes place at the hidden gem in Benimussa Hills on the outskirts of San Antonio, 528 Ibiza (map).
Formerly the location of The Zoo Project, the hillside haven will be transformed into an enchanted festival boasting two outdoor stages: Radio 1 Dance and Radio 1 Dance Anthems, plus features from Radio 1 Relax and BBC Music Introducing.
By far the biggest in the weekend's history includes (A-Z) Becky Hill, Chase & Status, Eats Everything, FISHER, Hannah Wants, Jamie Jones, Jax Jones, Katy B, LP Giobbi, The Martinez Brothers, MK, Patrick Topping, Sam Divine, Sonny Fodera, the R1 Dance family and more.
We have just launched a special combo ticket for this and Sunday at Ibiza Rocks for LoveJuice Playground (more about that later).

Travel
Please be aware that you are unable to drive or walk to/from the venue for this event. Please travel via licenced taxi or use the free shuttle bus service that is operation, collecting and returning ticket holders via the bus station in San Antonio (map).
Saturday 29 July
ANTS x BBC Radio 1 Dance Live, Ushuaïa, Playa d'en Bossa | 15:00 to 23:00
Teaming up with the ANTS colony once again, Radio 1 takes to Playa d'en Bossa's Ushuaïa (map) to bring one you one hell of a gathering in the sun and under the flight path on Saturday.
From 15:00 in the afternoon, a line-up of incredible talent including Radio 1 broadcasters Pete Tong and Arielle Free will represent the clan on the outdoor mega stage. There will also be an epic and rare back-to-back from ANTS resident Andrea Oliva and Trick boss Patrick Topping.
Solardo, LF System and the Dunmore Brothers will also join the action.
Anybody travelling from San Antonio who doesn't want to travel by taxi, can catch the L3B line disco bus from the bus station. Single tickets cost €4 each way.

Sunday 30 July
LoveJuice Playground closing party x Radio 1 Dance Anthems, Ibiza Rocks, San Antonio | 14:00 to 21:00
In collaboration with LoveJuice and the last Sunday of its residency at Ibiza Rocks (map) for 2023, this daytime extravaganza takes place at "the home of the pool party". Some of the hottest names in UK House music will sountrack a day to remember.
Dance Anthems presenter Charlie Hedges plays alongside Alex Mills, Sammy Porter, Charlotte Van de Peer, George Mensah and Jenn Getz & Alfie. The party also includes a special performance from D.O.D, the man dominating the charts with his sing-your-heart-out bangers.

Glitterbox x BBC Radio 1 Dance Live, Hï Ibiza, Playa d'en Bossa | 23:30 to 06:00
The weekend culminates at Hï Ibiza (map) for a night of the very best House and Disco selections from some of the Ibiza-born brand's favourite DJs including Roger Sanchez, The Shapeshifters, Myd, Crazy P and plenty more beside.
Expect a multi-coloured carnival and the most inclusive crowd on the island. What a way to close of what is set to be a weekend to remember.

Please note that, unlike past years, there will be no live broadcast from Café Mambo in 2023. That said, do look out for Radio 1's mobile studio which will be patrolling the island.
