Frankly, we're only just coming around from last weekend. Check out the highlights from a tip-top opening weekend of action. We've barely even blinked and we get to do it all over again this weekend, as Ibiza summer 2023 rides the wave of momentum.
While the midweek parties don't start ramping up until the end of the month, weekends are packed solidly full of parties now all the way until mid-October.
Currently blessed with temperatures and weather more associated with late June than early May, it's fitting that we have lots of daytime dancing options to consider. Let's dive in!
O Beach Opening Party
After two weekends of pretty full-on "soft" openings, O Beach gets serious on Friday 5 May. The famed San Antonio day club lifts the curtain on weekend number two with its self-styled Opening Party.
That's not to say we haven't had a lot of fun there already these past two weeks, but consider those warm-ups for the big shebang. Join Tony, Wayne and all the O Beach crew from 13:00 for a whole day of sunshine and entertainment. MORE INFO | BUY TICKETS
The O Beach programme continues on Saturday with Jack Your Body featuring Brandon Block, Hayley Wallace, and Soul Avengerz, followed the next day by SIN Sundays.
Defected | Eden
After a huge opening party last weekend which saw great sets from Sam Divine, Low Steppa and Ferreck Dawn, Defected is back for a second nibble. Friday nights at Eden show no signs of sloping off with San Antonio's young and excitable crowd surging to the club from doors open.
Both Low Steppa and Ferreck Dawn are back, while Groove Armada give veteran credentials and BBC Radio 1 talent Arielle Free adds the igniting spark. Arrive early to see rising newcomer Paige Tomlinson make her Defected Ibiza debut. It's gonna be all about House!
Applebum Pool Party | Ibiza Rocks
Hostess-with-the-mostest Khadejia welcomes fans of R&B and Hip-Hop back to the "home of the pool party" for round two of Applebum. Ibiza Rocks' sun-kissed Saturday daytimes are already sizzlin' despite being early May. It's gonna be a long, hot summer at poolside.
ANTS opening party | Day & night edition | Ushuaïa & Hï Ibiza
Last weekend Ushuaïa and Hï Ibiza underlined their collective clout when the two clubs combined for a joint opening. This coming weekend, that partnership continues as the ANTS colony returns going day and night for its round-the-clock opening party.
Starting off outdoors from 15:00 a stacked bill welcomes us to ten years strong.
Kölsch, Franky Wah, Ida Engberg and Oden & Fatzo (live) all play before 23:00. But we're not done. We continue into the night over the road with Andrea Oliva, Nic Fanciulli, Solardo, Patrick Topping, Eats Everything, HoneyLuv and more.
Which soldiers will last the full distance, from small stage at the back of Ushuaïa to last tune in The Theatre? MORE INFO | BUY TICKETS
Dixon | Pacha
Pacha got the ball rolling in its mammoth fiftieth year with Solomun last weekend. Far from lowering the standard, things continue in the same lofty territory with singular artist Dixon on Saturday 6 May.
For this special one-off, Dixon brings his Innervisions confederate Trikk to join the musical journey.
Widely regarded as one of the best DJs on the planet, Dixon's presence promises a fantastic night of upfront club music from the spectrum of Deep and Afro House, Indie Dance and avant-garde Electro-Pop to mark the first weekend of Pacha's weighty pre-season line-up.
Pacha's pre-season programme commences on Thursday 4 May with Ilario Alicante & Ben Sterling, before Sebastian Gamboa's Vintage takes over on Friday.
Glitterbox opening party | Hï Ibiza
Back in Playa d'en Bossa on Sunday 7 May, Glitterbox starts its 2023 campaign at Hï Ibiza.
Count the luminaries, as the Disco odyssey rounds up some of the scene's founding fathers and a distinguished mother. For the opening party, you can catch Basement Jaxx, Dave Lee (AKA Joey Negro), Roger Sanchez and The Shapeshifters, while Julie McKnight performs a live PA.
Fat Tony and Melon Bomb bring untamed flamboyance to the Wild Corner toilet rave.
Club Chinois
After leading with the after parties last week with International Music Summit, newly established Club Chinois is back with its varied pre-season programme. BOHO Experience provides authentic bohemian vibes and an alluring Deep House soundtrack on Thursday 4 May.
TRIP is back for its fourth instalment on Friday 5 May. After inviting Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom to headline earlier parties in the series, TRIP completes the Apollonia set with Shonky. The Parisian underground DJ is joined by Tuccillo, Cesar Vinzent and Isbel.
Finally, FUTURA wraps up the weekend on Saturday night with appearances from Music On regular LEON and respected Ibiza residents Manu Gonzalez and Kellie Allen.
Akasha
Beyond the crowds of Ibiza's notable super-clubs, Akasha holds it own in the wild north.
unders brings his Happy Campers Records showcase to the intimate nightspot on Friday 5 May, with support from Noraj Cue and Ape Chimba. The night after, All Day I Dream favourite Tim Green returns to San Carlos for his latest headline set at the club.
Then on Sunday 7 May, monthly party Ethereal is back, starting off outdoors in Las Dalias garden before moving inside later. Iban Mendoza and Medusa Odyssey are two of the acts performing at one of the venue's flagship parties.
Plus, there's a raft (pun intended) of early summer boat parties sailings from both San Antonio and Playa d'en Bossa, including Float Your Boat, Oceanbeat and Ibiza Boat Club.
