STK Ibiza is not simply a restaurant, it’s an experience. Picture a classic American steakhouse only doused in glamour and hedonism, where high-class cuisine and mixology meet flamboyant live entertainment. All taking place in a stylish club-like venue located in Ibiza Town’s exclusive Marina Botafoch. Now, that’s a slice of Ibiza luxury.
Kindly, STK Ibiza invited the clubbing team down for the evening, giving us the perfect excuse to leave the guys behind and have our very own Ibiza Spotlight girls' night out.
Swapping our usual attire for something a little more sophisticated, we were set to join fashionable holiday-makers, couples enjoying date nights, and groups of friends catching up ahead of the summer. It’s not a rarity to rub shoulders with the stars on a visit to STK Ibiza also!
On arrival, the red carpet was rolled out (we like to think it was for us!) and after taking a few snaps at STK Ibiza’s Insta-worthy entrance we received a warm welcome before being shown to our table.
Looking back, we weren’t quite expecting the extravagance of the evening that lay ahead.
ON WEDNESDAYS, WE PARTY WITH REBEKA BROWN
Every Wednesday night, Spanish superstar vocalist Rebeka Brown takes to the mic delivering numerous spell-binding live performances and we were lucky enough to catch the sexy señorita’s first show of the summer.
Accompanied by supremely talented dancers, and all-clad in raunchy yet glamorous outfits, Rebeka stunned STK Ibiza diners with her phenomenal voice and star-quality prowess. Performing renditions of ABBA’s 'The Winner Takes It All', to Beyonce’s 'Single Ladies', Rebeka certainly brought the pizazz to our girls' night.
During dinner, news sadly broke that Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock ‘n Roll, had passed away. As a special tribute to “Our Queen”, Rebeka closed the evening with one of Tina Turner’s most memorable and energetic hits, 'Proud Mary'. A powerful celebration of one of music’s biggest female icons.
THE EXTRAORDINARY COCKTAIL MENU
Like excited children in a sweet shop, we selected a range of mixology concoctions from STK Ibiza’s signature cocktails menu to try. Each cocktail is served with marvellously creative design and non-alcoholic alternatives are available on request for an equally mind-blowing mocktail.
The Magic Mushroom, a staff recommendation, presents a whimsical sweet treat, swirling tastes of raspberry and strawberry with white chocolate and pistachio foam. Taking a snoop at neighbouring tables, now lively and filling up, this one seemed a popular choice amongst the fashionista clientele.
For those with a more bitter palate, the Hypnotyze cocktail caters - gin-based and boasts flavours of grapefruit, sake, bergamot, yuzu and basil. Offering a twist on the Moscow Mule, STK Ibiza’s tangy Raspberry Mule gave the traditional recipe a contemporary upgrade.
And of course, for fans of a classic cocktail, STK Ibiza provides. A Mojito was the perfect refreshment to sip alongside our flavoursome dishes.
A FEAST FIT FOR A FIESTA
Now, let’s talk food. Firstly, a staple of STK Ibiza is their homemade bread roll glazed with blue cheese, carefully toasted with their logo and served with a delectable chive and olive oil dip. It was here that we realised we were in for a night of luxurious culinary indulgence.
Ordering a buffet of starters to sample between us, the bitesize Angus beef sliders with truffle sauce were a tempting treat, as was the tuna tartare resting on a bed of avocado, topped with wonton crisps and soy and honey sauce. Lush!
The STK goat cheese croquettes really hit the sweet spot - crispy breadcrumb containing a creamy, yet light, goat cheese filling and coated in black truffle honey. The quinoa kale salad with sweet potato and cashews made for a simply delicious accompaniment.
This is STK Ibiza, no ordinary dining experience. So naturally, between courses, the entertainment continued. An enchanting bellydancer left diners in complete awe by combining with a light show performance, whilst a skilful acrobat amazed us with her shapeshifting act. The wow factor was off the charts and the atmosphere was abuzz.
Moving onto mains, you can choose from an array of signature steak options and tailor how it’s cooked to your taste buds. Perfect for two people (or one if you’re feeling particularly ravenous), you can choose between either the sirloin or rib-eye ‘Smalls’ steak. Go big or go home and up your plate size, picking between either the medium or larger sizes.
If you prefer the finer cuts of steak and pure mouth-watering meat, the sirloin is the one for you. For that extra bit of fatty flavour and texture, rib-eye is the way forward. Both were equally as delicious which makes picking between the two quite a tough decision.
Also gracing our table was the cedar plank salmon with a wonderfully bright salad of pickled seasonal vegetables which was divinely fresh and ever so sweetly seasoned. Seafood is another speciality of STK Ibiza with a varied menu of choice. The seafood platter, ideal for sharing, is a must-try on our next visit.
Finally, the vegan burger was as exciting to the eyes as it was to the senses. Served with a side of baked plantain chips which resembled a bountiful bouquet in presentation, the meat-free alternative was anything but lacking and the ideal portion size to leave room for dessert.
A SWEET SPECTACLE
Led to believe that the magician setting his wallet alight was the final surprise in store, the amazing STK Ibiza team surprised us with what can only be described as a sweet spectacle.
The music turned up, and with sparklers in hand, the team paraded the most enormous Eton mess extravaganza ever seen to our table. Although we were feeling pretty full from the feast, the fluffy whipped cream, mango curd, fresh fruit and melt-in-the-mouth meringue was utterly irresistible.
We also sampled the New York cheesecake dressed in fresh strawberries and coulis. As well as the layered chocolate brownie with mascarpone ice cream and finely chopped hazelnuts. It’s fair to say, that night we truly ate like queens.
A huge thank you to all of the team at STK Ibiza for hosting the most magical evening. Bookings are essential so reserve your table here.
